For the implementation of National Education Policy-2020 (NEP), 15 lakh teachers of higher education will be trained across the country. This training will be given by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). For this, a training program is starting from September 5, Teacher's Day, which is recognized by the UGC. This training program is equivalent to the 'Short Term Professional Programme' run by UGC HRDC. This program will also be valid for Career Advancement Scheme (CAS). All teachers associated with higher education, whether permanent, part-time or guest lecturers, are eligible for training. Training is completely free. There will be no need to take any leave to participate. Simply, 36 hours have to be given for this. Trainees can complete it in a maximum of nine days. There will be a total of six batches for this. The first batch will start from September 5 and online training will be given through SWAYAM platform. Identity card upload mandatory
While registering for the training, it is necessary to choose the regional center Varanasi. At the time of admission, it is mandatory to upload the recommendation letter of the principal of the institution or the identity card of the institution.
