New Delhi: The Central University Joint Entrance Examination - Undergraduate (CUET - UG) will be conducted from August 24 to 28 for the candidates affected by the cancellation of the exam last week due to a technical snag, the National Testing Agency (NTA) said.
NTA has informed that new admit cards will be issued to these candidates. NTA Senior Director Sadhna Parashar has said that in the second phase, the examination to be held from August 4 to 6 was postponed at some centers due to administrative and technical reasons. Earlier, we had announced that the exam will be held from August 12 to 14. NTA had also given the option to the candidates to choose dates other than these dates.
He said that a total of 15,811 candidates have requested for a different date from August 12 to 14. Keeping in view the request, it has been decided that the examination will be conducted from August 24 to 28 and fresh admit cards will be issued before the examination. As per the schedule given earlier, the third phase examination will be conducted on August 17, 18 and 20.
Cancellation of examination at some centers after the news of disturbances
New Delhi. Referring to reports and indications of malpractices in the conduct of CUET- Graduation, University Grants Commission chief M Jagadesh Kumar on Sunday said examinations at some centers were canceled keeping in mind the interest of students. Kumar said strict action would be taken against anyone involved in willful malpractices in the process. He said there were reports and signs of a glitch in the process. NTA immediately swung into action and canceled and postponed the examinations in such likely centres.
